Photo Highlights: KKUIDS SUMMER SCHOOL 2024 – Primary Level, Phase 1 (April 1–11, 2025)
This year’s morning sessions were based on the theme “Time Traveler,” where students took on the role of time travelers, building time machines to journey back and explore world history from the age of dinosaurs to early ancient civilizations like Egypt, Greece, and Rome, all the way through to the Middle Ages, including the Renaissance, the Age of Exploration, and the Industrial Revolution.
In each era, beyond just learning historical facts, students also explored the art, culture, and scientific knowledge of the time through an integrated learning approach involving math, science, technology, physical education, art, and music. Examples include:
- Understanding the fossilization process during the dinosaur era
- Constructing pyramids using mathematical principles
- Designing Pharaoh masks
- Playing sports inspired by ancient Greek and Roman games
- Creating 'Stained Glass Art' from the Renaissance period
- Exploring Simple Machines used during the Industrial Revolution
...and much more. The phase wrapped up with a local history field trip to the Treasury Museum in Khon Kaen Province.
In the afternoon sessions, students split into their chosen elective subjects, where they had fun diving deeper into areas of personal interest. These hands-on activities were designed to develop their skills and encourage curiosity — a joyful learning experience that sparks motivation for the future.
